Dr. Vedran (David) Beslic
Dr. Vedran (David) Beslic was born in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He graduated dental school at University of Zagreb, School of Dental Medicine in 2013. After graduation he moved to Boston, USA to pursue an Oral Pathology specialty but since he decided he would miss performing general dentistry procedures he moved to Toronto, Canada and graduated from the National Dental Examining Board of Canada.
He worked in Thunder Bay, Ontario for several years as a dentist prior to moving to Nanaimo, British Columbia in 2019. He has 7+ years of experience in performing root canal treatments, surgical extraction of teeth and infection procedures, crown and bridge, esthetic work, dental restorative procedures and uses sedation on patients when indicated to do so. He loves his job as a dentist and takes pride in doing the best he can for his patients.
Fun fact about Dr. Beslic- first day elementary school when asked what he wanted to be when he grew up, his answer was a dentist!
Dr. Marzieh Sorooshzadeh
Dr. Marzieh Sorooshzadeh is a gentle and experienced general dentist committed to delivering thoughtful, patient-centered care. Since beginning her dental career in 2013, she has worked in a variety of clinical settings, providing comprehensive treatments with a calm and reassuring approach — especially for patients who feel anxious about dental visits.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Sorooshzadeh has served as an instructor for NDEB candidates, helping internationally trained dentists prepare for situational judgment exams with confidence and clarity. She is passionate about lifelong learning and actively pursues continuing education to stay current with the latest advancements in dentistry.
Outside of work, Dr. Sorooshzadeh enjoys reading, exploring new ideas, and spending time with close friends. She looks forward to welcoming patients of all ages and supporting them in achieving lasting oral health in a comfortable and respectful environment.
Dr. Sam MacCarthy
Sam was born and raised in England, completing his undergraduate and masters degrees at the University of Liverpool before completing his dental degree at University College Cork in Ireland.
He has lived in Hamilton and Vancouver before he and his wife decided to settle on Vancouver Island. Sam likes getting to know his patients and takes time to help them understand their dental health.
Outside of the office, Sam spends his time with his wife and daughters and their cat and he is a loyal supporter of Liverpool FC.
